LEAD is an early-career leadership development program designed for recent college graduates who want to build their business, operational, and leadership capabilities. Over a 12‑month period, participants gain hands-on experience through project assignments, formal training, mentoring, and exposure to different areas of the business while working closely with experienced leaders.

The program is intended to accelerate professional growth, broaden understanding of Linde's operations, and prepare participants for future leadership roles by developing critical skills in collaboration, problem-solving, customer engagement, and business performance.

As a LEAD Associate, you'll spend 12-months gaining hands-on experience across key areas of the business while working alongside sales, operations, and business leaders. From day one, you'll contribute to meaningful projects that solve real business challenges and create measurable impact.

LEAD Program Outline

Depending on your career path, you'll develop expertise in one of several focus areas: 

• Sales:  Learn LG&E's products and solutions, support customer engagements, participate in prospecting activities, develop customer solutions, and build professional selling skills. 
• Operations:  Support plant and distribution operations, lead process improvement initiatives, optimize supply chain activities, and gain experience in safety, quality, compliance, and inventory management. 
• Engineering:  Contribute to facility upgrades and process optimization projects, troubleshoot equipment and systems, and build experience in project management, continuous improvement, safety, and operational excellence.

Comprehensive one year leadership development program offering immersive, hands-on experience across all business functions, where you will learn to manage priorities, meet high expectations, and adapt quickly to change.

• Candidates with a Bachelor's degree in the following disciplines: Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical & Industrial), Business Administration (including but not limited to Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics)

• Graduating Seniors and early-career professionals with 1-3 years of experience (including internships)
• Willing to relocate for certain roles based on the business need

Prepare:  Review the LEAD Program overview, qualifications and attend a virtual info session if possible.

Selection:  Applications are reviewed holistically beginning in September, with interviews starting in early September.  We typically have a three-round interview process (but can vary):

• 1st Interview - Phone
• 2nd Interview - Virtual
• 3rd Interview - In person

Offers are extended starting in November.  The selection process will continue throughout the spring semester.

Kickoff:  The program starts in July. Full onboarding & next steps are shared with candidates who have accepted an offer into the LEAD Program at that time.
